Once again, Clevelanders are invited to join professional chalk artists in acts of creation at the Fine Arts Garden and Wade Lagoon just south of the Cleveland Museum of Art for its annual Chalk Festival.

Professional artists, including Sequioa Bostick, Bruno Casiano, Debra Sue Solecki, and students from Cleveland Institute of Art, will provide the inspiration with their intricate works, while amateur artists of an age are invited to add their own work to a pavement square.

To participate as an individual, family or group just stop at the registration tent on the day of the vent — no advance registrations are taken — and purchase a square and box of chalk pastels —$10 for a small square and 12-pece box, $20 for a large square and 24-piece box. Watch for free.

There’ll also by live music by Ropa Vieja and food trucks onsite; the museum café will also be open. The event goes on rain or shine.
