Women’s Air & Space Museum Hosts Wine-Tasting Benefit

Sarah Bryn Rickman

Fri 9/1 @ 6-9PM

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum (IWASM), located at Burke Lakefront Airport, is one of the area’s many small, lesser known but fascinating museums, its subject matter clear in its name: it honors the history of women in aviation and the legacy of those who contributed to it.

Its special event, Corks on the Concourse, which takes place (appropriately) the night before the long-running Cleveland National Air Show is one of its major fundraisers to continue its work in preserving and educating about women’s contributions to aviation.

The event features a wine tasting featuring Ohio-produced wines, a trivia contest with prizes, a silent auction and the awarding of the 2nd Annual Lifetime Achievement Award to pilot and aviation historian Sarah Byrn Rickman.

To get tickets, go here or call 216-623-1111. Reservation deadline is August 30.
