Sat 8/12 @ 9AM-2PM
There’s just something about heavy work vehicles that makes kids’ eyes light up. So this weekend there’s yet another “Touch-a-Truck” event, this one at Summit Metro Parks’ Munroe Falls Metro Park where kids can check out and climb into construction equipment, park district vehicles, garbage trucks, pickups, emergency vehicles and more — possibly even the Akron Children’s Hospital Air Bear helicopter, if it’s available.
There’ll also be a sandbox with toy trucks for kids overwhelmed by the big trucks, food for sale, and Maple Leaf Gifts offering children’s books, clothes and more.
There’s also an autism-friendly hour from 9-10am, where there won’t be any noise or flashing lights. And the Summit DD Mobile Sensory Bus will be there throughout the event.
