Slow Roll Bike Ride Explores Cleveland’s Far West Side

Mon 8/28 @ 7PM

Slow Roll Cleveland, the leisurely bike rides of all ages and skill levels, continues to explore new territory. Each week during the warm weather, the ride rolls out each Monday from a different neighborhood. This week it’s headed way out to the far west side, taking off from Jefferson Park at West 132nd and Lorain in the West Park neighborhood.

Meet up starts about 6; roll out is promptly at 7. The ride’s “Squad” will lead the group and make sure everything rolls smoothly. Although they have people on hand to help with minor repairs, it’s good to make sure your bike is a shape beforehand. And don’t forget your helmet!

They’re also reminding riders that it gets dark earlier so lights on your bike are a good idea.

“As we ride into fall, start thinking of your ride as a very tiny parade float,” they say. “When we mass in the hundreds, we create a moving spectacle, a spontaneous parade that moves around the city almost randomly, or at least that’s how it appears to others. Embrace the nighttime rides!”
