Music Box’s Reggae Sundays End with Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band

Sun 9/3 @ 4PM

All good things must come to an end. That includes summer (boo!) and the Music Box Supper Club’s summertime Reggae Sundays, an afternoon series of free concerts that, if the weather is nice, spill out of the downstairs supper club onto the riverside patio and boardwalk.

They end as they began with one of the area’s most popular reggae acts, Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band. Carlos has been at the forefront of the area’s crossover reggae seen since the late 70s, first with I-Tal, led by the late great Dave Smeltz then with First Light, who reigned as the area’s biggest drawing band for more than a decade, and since the mid 90s, with the P.L.U.S. Band. That stands for Peace/Love/Unity Syndicate, which gives you some idea of the vibe when his “reggae family” gathers.

The event features a special tropical-influence menu of food and drinks. So enjoy a last burst of summer.
