Ecuadorian guitarist Ricardo Morales Vivaro, originally from Quito, is a welcome addition to the local jazz scene. He arrived in northeast Ohio only recently after earning a B.A. in jazz studies in the Chicago area where he also taught and performed in several ensembles.
Now he’s releasing his debut album called Introspectiva with a show at the BOP STOP. It features his own compositions as well as original arrangements, drawing on rock, jazz and Latin American music. For this event he’s assembled an ensemble of topnotch area musicians including basisst Kip Reed, drummer Anthony Taddeo, keyboard player Grant Heineman, sax player Ronell Regis and vocalist Grace Blackford.
Tickets to be in the room are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. It will also be livestreamed on the BOP STOP’s Facebook page.
