Sat 8/19 @ 7PM
Frank Amato made his mark as the lead singer of a series of Cleveland bands, starting in the late 70s. But he’s best known for sharing the frontman role with his brother Tommy for the popular ’80s band Beau Coup, on such hits as “Still in My Heart,” “Sweet Rachel,” and “Born and Raised on Rock & Roll.”
He now runs a DJ/karaoke/production company called Amalon with his wife Lisa Dillon, a long-time area radio personality. And he’s stayed busy in the studio helping other bands shape their sounds. You can heard some of them, such as the long-running arena-style rock band Dreamstreet, rock trio 6Turning4Burning, and young singer/songwriters Gracie Olivia, at Frank Amato’s producers showcase at the Beachland Ballroom. Frank will be emceeing the evening as well. The evening will conclude with Frank joining the musicians to perform some of Beau Coup’s best-known songs. And each ticket buyer will get a CD sampler of the acts’ music.
