One of the beauties of summertime is the graceful dragonfly, swooping across sunny fields of flowers such as yarrow, borage and black-eyed Susans. What are their habits, where do they live, and what attracts them to certain areas? And what is their role in the ecosystem?
A Summit Metro Parks naturalist will answer these questions on a short (1.6 mile) hike called “Discovering Dragonflies” at the Springfield Bog Metro Park, 1400 Portage Line Road in Springfield Township.
