Rock Hall Launches Summer of Free Outdoor Performances by Local Artists

Wed 7/5 @ 8-10PM

Fri 7/7 @ 6-9PM

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is about to kick off a summer of concerts on its outdoor stage starting on July 15 with Lita Ford, and featuring national acts ranging from hip-hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash to 90s alternative rockers the Breeders

But before that happens, its annual series of shows with diverse local bands happens, starting on Wednesday July 5 and running Wednesdays through August 31. Its first show in July 5 features pop rockers Wish Queen, fronted by singer/songwriter Grace Sullivan, and rock/hip-hop Akron singer/songwriter M.O.O.K.Y., backed by a five-piece band.

Then on Friday July 7, the nonprofit Refresh Collective which mentors teens and offers them learning opportunities through writing, recording and performing, will showcase some of its student singers, rappers and DJs.

Both performances are free.
