Old 86, which opened in Tributary’s former space in Gordon Square in May 2023, calls itself a “good place for bad decisions” and “where Saturday night happens 7 days a week.” Open 7 days a week from 5pm to 2am, it offers ample time for decisions of all types, especially those you might make at 1am on Tuesday, a time not too many places are open. It’s not fancy, and doesn’t offer cutting-edge cocktails, just the basics and good company. The project is spearheaded by Will Hollingsworth, who created the Spotted Owl in Tremont and took over Tremont’s Prosperity Social Club when owner Bonnie Flinner retired and moved out of town.
