Each Wednesday through the end of the summer, the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes is presenting special evening programming designed to appeal to different people of different ages.
On Wednesday July 19 the Larchmere Fire Works Blacksmith Cart will be back with metalwork projects you can do yourself, and the Literary Cleveland performers will be reading pieces about by local authors about the region’s plants and animals. It’s also lemonade and cookie night.
On Wednesday July 26, you’ll want to bring the littlest kids age 2-7 to “Jump, Jiggle and Sing” children’s music with Jane Tomick and eat Mount Granita Italian Ice.
On August 2 the City Ballet of Cleveland will do a performance of A Carnival of Animals, and on August 9, you’ll want to bring your dog for a Pup Playdate in the Park. August 16 is yoga with Cari Hickerson and August 30 is outdoor family movie night.
Each week will offer the chance to walk the Nature Center’s trails and play in the Nature Play area with extended hours. There’ll be food trucks or you can bring your own picnic to eat outdoors in the Nature Center’s lovely setting.
It’s free.
