The annual Hale Farm & Village Music in the Valley Folk & Wine Festival returns this weekend, enhancing the usual experience visitors to the reconstructed 19th-century Ohio community enjoy.
Hale Farm has joined with northeast Ohio acoustic music nonprofit Folknet to create a lineup of performances as well as casual music making around the grounds that simulates the grassroots nature of folk music and its role in 19th-century village life. The Village Green wine garden will offer Ohio-made wines while two Cleveland Heights businesses — CLE Urban Winery and Marchant Manor Cheese — will host wine tastings and cheese pairing classes. And of course the buildings will all be open with the usual demonstrations and activities going on to show visitors what life was like in Ohio 150 years ago.
