Loganberry Books’ Author Alley Features Two Dozen Nonfiction Writers and Poets

Sat 7/8 @ noon

Loganberry Books on Larchmere Boulevard has again reconfigured its popular Author Alley, once a single day event in July.  The store divided it into a series of weekly thematic events in August when it returned from the pandemic in 2021. This year it’s four monthly events taking place on the second Saturday of each summer month, each time focusing on a different type of book.

July’s event is devoted to poetry and nonfiction, including science, politics, true crime, memoir and more, with about two dozen writers on hand to sign books and chat with readers. They include authors such as James Renner, whose book Little, Crazy Children about the unsolved murder of a teenage girl in Shaker Heights just came out; Oberlin professor Greggor Mattson’s Who Needs Gay Bars?, relating the history of those businesses; and photographer/poet Michael Loderstedt’s book of poetry Why We Fished.

In addition, there’ll be live readings throughout the afternoon. It’s free to attend.
