Sat 7/15 @ 4-10PM
Lakewood’s giant block party/street festival, the Lakewood Summer Meltdown, is back for its 15th year, gathering thousands of people together for an evening of fun for all ages.
Detroit Avenue from Marlowe to Arthur avenues will be closed to accommodate food vendors, a beer garden, games, fitness activities, a skate park, live music by Front Porch Lights at 7pm, and, of course, the popular Water Moose sprinkler — make sure the kids are wearing their swim suits! It also includes the 5K race at 7pm and the one-mile Family Fun Run at 6pm, both fundraisers for even sponsor LakewoodAlive.
The Lakewood Summer Meltdown runs from 4-8pm, although the beer garden is open until 10pm, after the kids are back home. It’s free and open to all.
