There’s a big change this year for the 18th Taste of Lakewood, the annual event in one of northeast Ohio’s foodiest cities. It will be in a brand new location at a venue that didn’t even exist when the last version was held: Studio West 117, the LGBTQ complex that opened on Detroit Avenue near the Cleveland/Lakewood boarder last fall. And since it’s an indoor/outdoor venue, they don’t have to worry about possible rain.
The event is scheduled to take place in multiple areas of the sprawling complex, with indoor restaurant booths, outdoor dining areas, an outdoor vendor area with artwork, apparel and accessories, home décor, collectibles and more, live music and VIP seating on the rooftop deck.
Food will be available for purchase from such Lakewood establishments as Melt, Barrio, Mahall’s 20 Lanes, Dewey’s, Cleveland Vegan, Aladdin’s, MUZE Gastropub, VooDoo Tuna, Angelo’s, Donatos, Despina’s Bakery, LaLa Custom Cakes, Forage Public House, India Garden, Humble, the Tea Lab, and Trikeable Treats. As an official sponsor, Immigrant Son Brewery will be bringing the beer. Music will be provided by JellyNJams, Lakewood schools music students and, in the VIP area, Jeff Varga.
The event is free; VIP tickets are $75 and offer special seating, parking, food selections, two drink tokens and special entertainment.
