Piano Cleveland is ramping up its Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists with more events, many of them out in the community to connect more people to the competition and expose them to these rising young stars.
On Wednesday July 5 at the Cleveland Institute of Music’s Mixon Hall, it launches this summer’s competition by presenting its 2018 Young Artists winner, 19-year-old Armenian-Russian Eva Gevorgyan, showcasing the level of proficiency and artistry required of the competitors. She’ll perform pieces by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Sergei Prokofiev at her recital.
