Cleveland area photographer Gina Washington, who work deals with questions of identity, asking (and answering) “who am I?”, is hosting another workshop at the Sculpture Center called “I AM: Identity in Community.
She’ll be using the Sculpture Center’s current show Impotent Pegasus by Mingdong Sun, in which he asks, “How can we retell art history and culture through a queer lens?,” as a starting point.
Washington will lead participants on an exploration of their own individuality as well as their identity as a member of the queer community. “Plan to ground your energy and express your creative self,” she says. “Group conversation will lead from there.”
