Hale Farm & Village Kicks Off Summer with Crooked River Festival

Sat 6/17-Sun 6/18 @ 10AM-5PM

Although it’s open most of the year, there’s no better time to visit Hale Farm & Village, the recreation of a 19th century village in Bath, Ohio, than summer when you can stroll the grounds to view the historical buildings and the demonstrations of skills settlers used to survive.

Hale’s summer season goes into high gear this weekend with its debut Crooked River Festival.  This event will spotlight the role of the river on northeast Ohio communities of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, how it impacted the lives and livelihoods of the Indigenous people and settlers in the region. It will include the usual array of artisan demonstrations, hands-on activities, historical presentations, exhibits, storytelling and live music. There’ll even be live lumberjack competitions.

There’ll be 21st-century food available for purchase. Get tickets here or buy them at the door.
