No one has championed street art and the artists behind it more than Graffiti HeArt, an organization founded to find opportunities for young graffiti artists to develop their skills through scholarships and talented muralists to snag commissions, while also bringing in national and international street artist and muralists to engage with local artists and the local landscape.
Now it’s offering a new opportunity: its first Street HeArt Mural tour on Sunday July 16. A shuttle limousine will ferry observers on a three-hour tour of local murals as well as “unofficial” graffiti and “quirky artistic sights.” Joining the tour will be French artist YoSH who will be painting murals in downtown Cleveland the week of July 15, with local artists Monster Steve and Alex Tang. To celebrate Graffiti HeArt will be having a graffiti Hip Hop Party at its space on East 49h and Superior on Saturday July 15 with YoSH, Joey Aich, DJ Nuera and DJ Lee Majors.
