The Cleveland July 4 fireworks aka “Light Up the Lake” are back once again, going off near the mouth of the river by the lake at sundown — around 10pm — lasting about 20 minutes.
There will be watch parties and events all over downtown including a free event at Voinovich Park from 5-11pm with food trucks, DJ music, games and kids’ activities to keep them diverted until that late (but hopefully not so tired they sleep through the fireworks!)
Of course you don’t have to go to an official party to watch. The fireworks are visible from the Flats, Whiskey Island, Wendy Park, Edgewater Park, and other locations in and around downtown and its surroundings. It’s not recommended to park along the Shoreway although people do that.
