Columbus’ Ark Band Brings Island Sounds to Music Box’s Reggae Sunday

Sun 7/2 @ 4-7:30PM

The Ark Band was founded in the mid 1980s by a pair of brothers, Terry and Eustace Bobb, in their native St. Lucia. They relocated to the unlikely environs of Columbus, Ohio many years ago, and since then they’ve been sharing the sounds of the Caribbean — soca, calypso and roots reggae — with audiences throughout the region and even across the U.S.

They’ve performed many times here in Cleveland, and they’re returned for the Music Box Supper Club’s Reggae Sundays series this week. The bands set up and play in the supper club, but the doors to the boardwalk patio are open (weather permitting) and the party spills outside so people can enjoy their island-flavored drinks and food along with the summer sunshine. Admission is free.
