Generally when I see the word “innovation” my b.s. detector starts to go off; the word is often used to dress up vague civic plans and pronouncements.
But science and technology can proudly use the word, because those fields are all about new discoveries and building on what’s already known to create new things. So Innovation Community Day at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History will be about real discoveries and how they were arrived at, not re-warmed public policies in fancy dress.
CMNH will have representatives from area organizations that work with technology to create striking new ideas and engage more people in the work, including Ingenuity Cleveland, the Minority Tech Alliance, Organic Connects and Sears think[box]. Visitors will also have access to the regularly scheduled planetarium show, 3D movies and wildlife presentations.
It’s all included with regular admission.
