Townhall Meeting Looks at Environmental Policy, Waste and Art

Sat 5/6 @10AM-noon

If you’re interested in ways that arts and the environment can interact, join community leaders for a town hall-style event called “From Lake to Lagoon: Exploring Sustainability in Cleveland and Venice,” discussing local sustainability, waste and environmental justice policies.

The event will feature an interview with SPACES gallery’s Tizziana Baldenebro and MoCa’s Lauren Leving live from Venice, Italy. Baldenebro and Leving are the team who were invited to curate the U.S. pavilion at the prestigious Venice Biennale Architettura, which opens May 20. They chose five artists to realize their theme, Everlasting Plastics, addressing waste and its impact.

The event, taking place in room 119 of the Samson Pavilion at 9501 Euclid Avenue, is free and open to the public. RSVP here.
