Rock Hall Announces Packed Summer of Outdoor Concerts & Events

 

 

The Rock Hall has announced a summer season packed with concerts by both local and touring acts.

Thursdays from July through September will be devoted to free Live & Local shows, while Friday nights in July and August will feature ticketed concerts by national acts. There will also be “Live by the Lake” acoustic sets on certain Thursday and Sunday afternoons. Up-and-coming musicians who are part of the artist in residence program will be performing on the plaza Fridays in July and August from 3:30-5:30pm.

The “Live & Local” shows start July 6 with MOOKY and Wish Queen; among the bands performing are Public Squares, Gluttons, Mellowman Funk, Apostle Jones, Falling Stars, and Doug McKean and the Stuntmen. National shows start on July 15 with Lita Ford, followed by Fitz and the Tantrums with Rett Madison (July 22); Maggie Rose (July 28); Grandmaster Flash (August 18); Heart by Heart with Steve Fossen and Michael Derosier of Heart (August 19); King Buffalo (August 25) and the Breeders (September 7).

There’ll be food and beverage trucks, a beer garden, outdoor seating, pet-friendly areas and free motorcycle parking.

There will also be special events throughout the summer include Pride Rocks on June 1, a Juneteenth Gospel Performance and Panel on June 15 and FAM JAM on June 24.
