Get those dancing shoes out of your closet once again, and get set for an evening of polkas and waltzes at the National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall of Fame’s Spring Fling, one of many parties it hosts throughout the years to remind people of how much fun Cleveland’s polka heritage really is.
Wayne Tomsic and his orchestra will be playing at a new venue for polka dances: the Holy Spirit Party Center at 5500 West 54th Street in Parma.
In addition to four hours of dancing, there’s be sandwiches and “nationality treats” (i.e. eastern European food) They also share this somewhat mysterious bit of information: “Your polka hostess, Sharon Staiduhar, will spring a few surprises on you to test your luck.”
Advance tickets are $12 through the Polka Hall of Fame; it’s $15 at the door. Those 18 and under are free, so introduce the kids to their heritage!
