So Ken Schneck (above), the college professor/comedian/author who hosts all of Cleveland Burlesque’s shows at the Beachland Ballroom, had an idea a while back: why not do an evening where all the performers did their act to an ABBA tune?
And so it happened on May 20, when a gaggle of local and regional burlesque performers and drag artists gathered for “Can You Hear the Boobies, Fernando,” performing to such tunes as “Dancing Queen” and “SOS.” It also included an opportunity for audience members to show off during the karaoke contest, which found three women harmonizing on “Fernando.”
