Neighborhood Pets is offering a slightly different and creative way to help the animals they care for: pets belonging to low-income owners who struggle to keep up with pet care cost. The services provided by Slavic Village-based Neighborhood Pets allows financially challenged owners them to keep pets they might otherwise have to surrender.
The Sunday brunch fundraiser, Hooked on Brunch, provides not only food but also the chance to learn to crochet and create square that will be used to make pet blankets and dog sweaters for those challenged pet owners. They’ll supply all the materials and Cleveland Institute of Art student James Negron will teach you what you need to know. And some will be featured in a 2024 calendar.
The ticket includes a brunch provided by host Brite Side in Ohio City, and a chance to enter raffles for prizes donated by local businesses and artists. Tickets are only $25; get them here. Animals and their owners will be grateful!
