Downtown Medina Groups Host Craft/Storytime Event to Raise Funds for Cat Rescue

Cuteness warning! This event will feature live kittens!

Fri 5/12 @ 6:30-9PM

All Fired Up Medina and Cats on the Square, a cat rescue group located on Medina’s downtown square, tell us they think “painting pottery and cuddling kitties is a purrrr-fect combination.”

Personally, we think kitties go with almost any activity, but the deal here is that the pottery making is a fundraiser for taking care of the kitties. The all-ages event starts at 6:20 will a children’s story time at Cats on the Square, where the kids will get to hear the story of The Cats on my Block which teaches them about how “community cats” are cared for.

Then the action moves over to All Fired Up where participants call paint a cat dish or a small cat figure while making a donation to Cats on the Square. There’ll be another story time at 7:30pm. There will be kittens at both locations “to inspire you while you paint,” they say. We’re thinking more like “distracting you from painting.” We’re hoping they’re not up for adop…uh oh! Watch out!

Registration is suggested here.
