Sun 5/21 @ 9AM-noon
The nonprofit Canalway Partners oversees projects and programs in Cuyahoga County’s Canalway National Heritage area, one of which is Cycle Canalway, which offers maps and guided rides throughout the summer.
It’s launching this weekend with an event at Canal Basin Park to get you ride for a summer of cycling. From 9am-noon, there’ll be free bike safety checks on a first-come/first-serve basis, courtesy of the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op, making sure your brakes and tires are ready to go. They’ll make recommendations for any work you should have done before setting out for rides.
There’ll also be guided rides at 10am and noon of about two to three miles, on mostly flat terrain. It’s free and open to all.
