Followers of Taylor Swift are rummaging through their closets for just the right outfit to wear to The Bejeweled Ball, in the hopes of making a respectable finish in the costume contest inspired by Taylor’s current Eras Tour.
Maybe you’d like to be your old self again, but you’re still trying to find it. Hosted by The Ladies Night, one of the few all-guy bands with a full complement of XY chromosomes that can hit the high notes, they’ve worked up almost two dozen songs from the T. Swizzle songbook and they’re putting on a show.
The Bejeweled Ball features an opening DJ set, then solid Tay-Tay for The Ladies Night’s showcase, featuring over 20 Tayter Tot bangers to keep you hopping on the dance floor.
Then comes the big costume contest based on the Queen of Pop’s recent Eras Tour, where she journeys through all her musical eras. Cause it reminds you of innocence.
And if that wasn’t enough, stick around for the next set, when The Ladies Night changes their own costumes to light up classic Gaga, Britney, Kesha, Ariana, and Miley anthems to have you wishing you wore more sensible shoes.
Back before you lost the one real thing you’ve ever known, there was just you and Taylor’s songs, and maybe a friend, on that little town street. The Mercury Music Lounge in little old Lakewood, Ohio has one of the biggest dance floors around. Maybe this thing is a masterpiece, but they’re gonna tear it up on Saturday, and you can be there in the middle of the night, dancing round the kitchen to the refrigerator light.
And The Ladies Night can pull it off, according to The Plain Dealer, “It might be a nice one-trick pony shtick but for one thing: The entire band is crackerjack good, with harmonies and musicianship that rival anything you can find in New York, LA, Chicago, Nashville … whatever.”
Swifties unite for one night only! It was rare, you were there, you remember it all too well. It’s time to create new memories. With new friends. And some of Taylor’s best songs. Wind in your hair. You were there. You’ll remember it all too well.
