Slow Roll Cleveland, the weekly warm weather event which invited cyclists of all ages and levels of experience and skill, to take a leisurely ride through a different Cleveland neighborhood each Monday, kicks off its tenth year of rides this week with a special Saturday ride.
Riders will gather at Edgewater Park, starting a 3pm, where there’ll be representatives from local civic organizations, including transportation advocacy groups, and demos from bike shops. And they’ll be joined by representatives from Slow Roll Buffalo, also in its tenth year. The ride rolls out at 4pm and covers about 10 miles.It’s free and open to all.
Slow Roll Cleveland was inspired by a similar ride in Detroit, which has attracted as many as 5,000 riders. Slow Roll Cleveland has reached as many as 700. It will release its full schedule of Monday evening rides by the end of the month at slowrollcleveland.org.
