Lenora hosts the Internet series Midnight Rental, streaming on the Found Footage Festival’s YouTube channel. It features an array of “bad” film in a variety of genres, definitely not the sort of stuff anyone ever toured for an Oscar — more z-movies than b-movies.
She’ll be at the Grog Shop this week, for Midnight Rental’s Secret Movie Screening, toting one of these terrible treasures. The fun starts at 7pm with a program of funny ads from back in the day and some rounds of lightning movie trivia with prizes from local Coventry merchants. The movie, selected by Lenora from her “back room” goes on at 8:30pm. To make the evening an authentic movie experience, popcorn, candy, chips and pizza rolls will be available for purchase, along with the Grog Shop’s usual bar.
