AAWR Hosts “Fab Cab” Art/Technology Workshops

Sat 4/15 & Sun 4/16 @ 1-4PM

Want to try some new methods of art making? Artists Archives of the Western Reserve is hosting the traveling “Fab Cab” makers space this weekend. It’s a portable lab, created and run by the Campana Center of Ideation and Invention of Lorain County Community College, featuring a 3D printer, laser and vinyl cutters, computers with drafting software and more for people to try out.

All of that will be located in AAWR’s gallery for two days this weekend where their instructors will be present to show people how to use the stuff. At small-group workshops, artists will be creating engravings of their work on pre-cut materials such as wood and acrylic  to incorporate into a large-scale collaborative art piece for a future Campana exhibition.

It’s free, but there are limited time slots available so you need to register now. Go here.
