PHOTOSTREAM: Wild & Scenic Film Festival 2023 at CMNH by Thomas Mulready

03.10.2023 Wild & Scenic Film Festival at CMNH
Known as a film fest “by activists for activists,” the 2023 Wild & Scenic Film Festival took place in the Yuba River watershed near Nevada City, CA in February, but then many of the films are exhibited at over 150 locations throughout the world.

Begun as a way to raise awareness of environmental concerns, this festival of short films sees itself as a place “where activism gets inspired,” featuring a wide range of films on the environment, and is a perfect compliment to the mission of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, which hosted the 2023 fest and featured 11 short films.

A sold-out house enjoyed the wide variety of films and exhibitors and checked out the Museum’s new entrance and new Origins Cafe before and during intermission, a hint at the ongoing transformation taking place at CMNH that will see virtually the entire Museums redesigned and rebuilt.
