Learn What’s Being Planned for Cleveland’s Riverfront at Public Meeting Downtown

In need of upgrading — but how?

Wed 3/22 @ 5:30-7PM

“Downtown residents, businesses and other interested parties” are invited to a public meeting at Old Stone Church on Public Square to talk about the Cuyahoga Riverfront Master Plan “to transform the city’s riverfront into a year-round economic and recreational asset for Northeast Ohio.”

That means “interested parties” could (and should) be any resident of northeast Ohio, especially since the presenters, in addition to councilman Kerry McCormack, include the Downtown Cleveland Alliance, whose particular interest in investment in downtown businesses and high-end residences, and Bedrock, Dan Gilbert’s Detroit-based real estate company. If you’re tired of out-of-town billionaire sports team owners trying to dictate the direction of Cleveland development, you might want to be there.

They say, “We want to hear from you!” Let’s hope that’s accurate. You can also access the meeting on Zoom if you can’t make it downtown; register here. “This will be the first in a series of meetings to update the public about the master plan and obtain feedback,” they promise.
