There’s no shortage of “women who print” in northeast Ohio. In fact, it seems like the major of printmakers here are women. So when the Future Ink Graphics Community Gallery decided mount a show called Women Who Print, it’s not like the has a shortage of artists to choose from.
The show features artists, both local and national, at different stages of their careers, who work in a variety of printmaking techniques with a strong emphasis on silkscreen printing print techniques with a strong focus on silkscreen. Some, such as Cory Slawson (pictured), incorporate printmaking into mixed-media work. Other feature artists include Ewuresi Arches, Nathalie Bermudez, Jacqueline Bon, Donna Coleman, Maggie Denk-Leigh, Meryl Engler, Jennifer Leach, Josie Krampitz, Nicole Malcolm and Amani Williams.
The show opens with a free reception on Friday March 10 and will be on view through Wednesday May 31.
