Tue 2/21 @ 8-11PM
Third Tuesdays aren’t so sleepy at the BOP STOP, when the club is filled with the unpredictable sounds during its Outlab: Experiments in Improvised Music jam sessions.
That could mean anything from dreamy soundscapes to flat-our ear-assaulting noise: you never know. It depends on who shows up and where their mind is at.
Musicians of all levels of experience and skill — and an adventurous spirit— are invited to come down and bring musical instruments or any sound-making device (drums and keyboard are provided but bring your own amp if you need one) to join in a collective group improvisation. If you don’t play, come and listen!
They don’t have “rules” — it’s freeform, after all — but the do have suggested “guidelines”: “1) to direct our explorations along the most productive and positive lines, and 2) to engage the widest possible variety of individuals from Greater Cleveland’s rich and diverse music scenes.”
It’s free although donations will be gratefully accepted.
