Les Delices’ Concerts Sing the Beauty of Nature

Fri 2/24 @ 7:30PM

Sat 2/25 @ 7:30PM

Sun 2/26 @ 4PM

Beauty is the theme of Cleveland chamber ensemble Les Delices’ next series of shows, titled “Enchanted Island.” It welcomes noted coloratura soprano Sherezade Panthaki for a program of French baroque cantatas addressing “the Sensuous abundance of nature.” The singer, born and raised in India, and educated at the Yale School of Music and University of Illinois, is noted both for interpreting classic music by Back, Mozart, Haydn, Handel and Brahms, but also for her skill with new and more obscure music. She now leads the vocal music program at Mount Holyoke College while performing extensively across the U.S. Europe and Japan.

Les Delices’ program will include music by Louis-Nicolas Clérambault, Michel Pignolet de Montéclair  and Jean-Philippe Rameau. They perform at Akron’s Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday February 24, at the Inlet Dance space at the Pivot Center on Saturday February 24, and at Shaker Heights Plymouth Church on Sunday February 26.
