Drummer Paul Francis’ Quartet Plays Instrumental Version of Beatles Tunes @ BOP STOP

Wed 2/22 @ 7PM

New York-based drummer/educator Paul Francis is well known in both the jazz and pop communities. He’s played on albums by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga and Jose Feliciano. He appeared on the soundtrack for the films Friends with Kids and the Lady Gaga version of A Star Is Born. The Chillicothe native earned his bachelors degree in music from The Ohio State University, one of many places where he also taught master classes.

Last year, he released an album called All Your Life: Interpretations of the Beatles featuring instrumental quartet versions of a quirky selection of Beatles tunes such as “The Long and Winding Road,” “Revolution,” Mother Nature’s Son,” “All My Loving,” “Julia” and “Long Long Long.”

He’ll be bringing the live show of that album to the BOP STOP, where he’ll be joined by his quartet, including guitarist Andrew Hartman, bassist Michael O’Brien and sax/flute player Chris Bacas.

Tickets are $20. This show will not be livestreamed.
