Saucisson, the artisan sausage/meat shop in Slavic Village, occasionally offers sausage-making classes to share some of the secrets of making sausage that you can try at home.
But that’s not all they offer. Their Saucisson Pigs ’N’ Wigs Sausage Party features sausage-making demo, sure. But it also features improv performances from local drag artists, who’ll be wisecracking and making puns about meat as they entertain. You’ll get a chance to ask them questions (“Which state legislator would you most like to see beamed up to another planet?”) and of course taste some sausages.
This month, the performers will be three artists who are well-known veterans of many area drag shows: glamorous chameleon Anhedonia Delight, drag king Peach Fuzz and special guest performer Empress Dupree (pictured). And each month some of the proceeds go back to a local LGBTQ+ charities.
