Sure, it’s cold, but getting outdoors is good for you in any weather.
So get up early on Sunday and take a leisurely walk outdoors in some of the area’s prettiest natural scenery and learn more about the birds that inhabit it on a guided birdwalk with the Nature Center at Shaker Lake.
Join your guide in the Nature Center’s parking lot to explore the Shaker Parklands. The fully accessible walk starts at the ADA-accessible boardwalk and continues on to dirt trails. It takes place regardless of weather, although it will be cancelled if paths are covered in ice or snow. If you don’t have binoculars, they’ll have some available to borrow.
