More and more, people are waking up to the idea that eating well is the key to good health, including mental health. That’s the premise of journalist Mary Beth Albright’s book Eat & Flourish: How Food Supports Emotional Well-Being, released late last year.
In it the Washington Post reporter/editor talks about recent research in nutritional psychology that explain the “mood/mood connection.” We’ve all been bombarded with claims about “superfoods” that reduce inflammation but she’ll share how inflammation impacts mental as well as physical well-being how certain vitamins can mitigate the impact of emotional stress — and how to eat better in general. And she interprets complex research into layman’s terms.
She’ll be doing a live, streaming event through the Hudson Library & Historical Society. It’s free and open to all but you must register. Go here.
