Foluke Cultural Arts, located at the Friendly Inn in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood, is dedicated to uplifting children and youth by provided arts education opportunities in dance, drama, vocal and instrumental music to young people who might not otherwise be able to access them.
To help fund its work, it’s hosting a gala benefit called “Central Renaissance: an Evening of Blues and Jazz , at the Ballroom at Parkland (10510 Park Lane, in Cleveland). Entertainment will include vocalist Reggie Scott performing songs made famous by Nat King Cole and special guest Christina Johnson performing as Ma Rainey.
There’ll also be a classical guitar performance, a live painting-with-music performance, a student art exhibition, silent auctions and raffles.
There’s a VIP cocktail hour from 5:45-6:45PM, with the main event starting at 7. Go here for tickets.
