Wed 1/11 @ 7PM
Guitarist Tim Mirth and percussionist Paul Stranahan are two of Cleveland’s most adventurous musicians, both of whom have played in numerous projects in a variety of genres. Together as Night Terrors, they offer open-ended compositions with lots of space for the improvisational explorations that fuel their music. Jazz, metal and avant-garde music all figure into their performances. Mirth uses extensive guitar effects, while Stranahan is known for expanding his drum kit with gongs and Tibetan singing bowls. They’ve described their sound as “a template of soundscapes and movements to take one through some kind of hazy, often scary, dream.”
You’ll never hear the same thing twice from this duo; each show is unique. So their set when they return to the BOP STOP will be entirely new. Tickets to attend in person are $10 for adult; $5 for students. (Student tickets are only available at the door.) The show will also be livestreamed on the BOP STOP’s Facebook page.
