Skate on Real Ice at Wade Oval All Week Through New Year’s Eve

Open daily through Sat 12/31

The Rink at Wade Oval in University Circle puts ice skating within easy reach of a large swath of east siders, a rink of real ice in a bucolic outdoors setting the way recreational winter-time skating used to be. And you can take advantage of it Friday-Saturday through February 26, as well as on MLK Day (January 16) and Presidents Day (February 20).

But this week it’s open every day through Saturday December 31, giving you a bunch of opportunities to take the restless kids/grandkids somewhere to work off their excess energy. No skates? You can rent them for just $2-$3. On top of that, your rink wrist band is good for discounted admission at the Cleveland History Center, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and the Cleveland Botanical Garden.

The rink is open from noon-7pm; it closes at 5pm on New Year’s Eve Day. General admission is just $2; $1 for students. You can reserve skates and admission here.
