The Cleveland Metroparks’ two 700-foot toboggan chutes at Mill Stream Run Reservation — the longest chutes in Ohio — are one of the area’s most distinctive winter attractions. With their 70-foot drop, they reach speeds of up to 50 miles an hour. If you miss Cedar Point’s roller coasters, the toboggan runs will give you a little taste of those thrills.

They’re open weekends through Sunday February 6, operating in most weather except for extreme conditions (temperatures below zero or over 50, heavy rain) and running for expanded hours during the holidays: they’ll be running every day through Monday January 2, including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day

Advance reservations are required, which you can make here. All riders must be at least 42” tall and wear gloves or mittens. You’ll be a timed ticket but once you’re checked in you can keep on tobogganing under close. Go here for updates on hours, weather conditions or changes.
