Nela Park Holiday Lights on View Through January 2

Through Mon 1/2

Things might seem a little darker and drearier right after Christmas, but not at the Nela Park industrial complex.

Each year for the past 98 years, GE Lighting’s East Cleveland facility at Nela Park has installed a spectacular display of Christmas lights, grouped to create a series of scenes. It stretches along Noble Road for two blocks, visible to passersby and drivers.

More than 500,000 LED lights comprise the display, divided into 11 smaller displays on the theme of “Holiday Delighter.”  They include a full decorated Christmas tree with gifts and a toy train set underneath, a gnome village called Gnome’s-Ville,” giant ornaments, an igloo and a snowman, among other things. They also include a replica of the 60-foot National Christmas Tree, located in President’s Park in Washington D.C., for which GE Lighting provides the design and lights.

The Nela Park display will remain onsite and lit through Monday January 2. You can drive past or stroll the sidewalk alongside the display and take selfies.
