There’s probably been a lot of indulgence around your house in the last couple of weeks, such as sitting around and mainlining holiday cookies during the deep freeze.
So face the new year on a new foot by joining the Cleveland Museum of Natural History for its first hike of 2023, taking place in its Mentor Marsh. Dress warmly, wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars and/or a camera to check out the variety of nature — plant, animal, and avian — that the marsh is teeming with even in the middle of winter. The pace is moderate and the hike is family-friendly.
Meet at the Sweet Nature Center at 5185 Corduroy Road in Mentor. And there’s be a naturalist at the Nature Center to answer any questions you may have. It’s free for both members and non-members. Register here.
