Gordon Square Will Be Bustling on Snow Day

Sat 12/10 @ 2-6PM

This Saturday is going to be a HUGE day in the Gordon Square Arts District, a day to stir up some holiday spirit.

Not only are there big handmade artisan markets going on at both the LGBT Community Center (almost 40 vendors both Saturday and Sunday) and at 78th Street Studios, where the Cleveland Bazaar will be hosing more than 100 both days, but it’s also Snow Day in Gordon Square.

There’ll be outdoors activities including live performances by music and dance groups, and fire pits to toast the free s’mores, as well as indoor activities in the districts theaters and shops. For instance the Capitol Theatre will be showing free local short films between 2-4pm and — ssssh, don’t tell the fragile snowflakes on the right — Near West Theatre will host a Drag Queen Story Hour at 3pm.  And a Snow Day Gallery will have art for sale. There’ll even be a place to get a Covid-19 booster so your holiday doesn’t get spoiled by getting sick.

Kids’ activities include crafts in the Kid Zone, games at St. Luke’s and a chance to take a photo with Santa at the Gordon Square Arcade. In addition, a free trolley will be running all afternoon taking visitors throughout the neighborhood to link up all the activities. It will even go all the way to the Lorain antiques district.
