Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival Returns Live to Trinity Cathedral

Sat 12/31 @ 2PM

The Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival is a long tradition at Cleveland’s Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, going back more than 60 years to 1961. Naturally, it’s been missing for the last two years — it was only held virtually. But it’s coming back full force this year and should be very well attended!

The festival, which recreates Elizabethan-era traditions, marks the birth of Christ, bringing the victory of good over evil. It does so through organ and choir music, incense-provided scent, and spectacle, with volunteer performers from across northern Ohio (the area covered by the diocese) serving as Beefeaters, torch carriers, monks, pages and more, in colorful period costumes handmade by volunteers. The cast even features live animals such as goats, sheep and donkeys.

The event is free, funded by donations, so a freewill offering will be taken. No tickets are needed, but come early to get a good seat.
